Why I Need The Ring Doorbell:

Mid-morning yesterday I heard my home doorbell ring a couple of times and then several the sound of knuckles loudly knocking on my front door. I did not feel like getting up to answer the door but I did not desire to be burglarized. There are reports over the past several months that robbers check home occupancy by ring the doorbell and knocking on the front door. If the front door is not answered the thieves believe nobody is home.

As the thought of would be robbers ran through my mind I decided to go downstairs and answer the front door. Before I opened the door I quickly peeped through a side window near the door. Two mid fifty women dressed in their Sunday best stood at my front door with a stack of pamphlets in their hands.

The women gave me that car salesman’s welcome and then began to recruit their cause relentlessly. Annoyed I interpreted their recruitment campaign rhetoric and asked one lady her home address. The woman nervously glanced at the other woman and then blurted out a street address. I was not familiar with the street name and questioned if the address was in our city? 

She replied her street address was in a city several miles away.  My answer, Oh, Thank you for giving me your address. Maybe I will “Ring Your Bell” later to hear about your opinions. 

The woman’s facial expression was one of shock. The pair of female solicitors promptly left my home.
