Bravo to my husband, David on his YouTube video post: Learn How To Receive Social Security Disability Insurance SSDI The First Time You Apply.
Most people do not understand the complexity of the Social Security Disability Insurance SSDI application process.
The SSDI application process can be overwhelming, difficult to navigate and does not come with a step by step easy to understand manual.
There are numerous details that a person applying for SSDI must adhere to, such as: an application can be filed only once. If you are denied SSDI you cannot submit a new application.
You have to use your original application number to appeal or reapply.
The laws that govern SSDI are needed but can be extremely difficult for an average person to understand. Similar to most people, I was shocked and saddened by the SSDI application process.
I do not find Social Security Disability Insurance SSDI to be a fun, glamorous or uplifting topic. There are so many times when I have felt the need to move on from HypoGal and I have asked the universe for direction.
It amazes me the way the universe immediately answered me:
1. A woman sent husband an email to let him know how much the information in his recently published book, HypoGal and Disability Benefits had helped her understand the complexity of the SSDI process. (I am proud to blog my husband’s book about Disability Insurance is ranked #1 on Amazon in Disability Benefits and #1 in Governments Benefits.)
2. When my husband arrived home from work he announced he wanted to make a YouTube video to showcase the information in HypoGal and Disability Benefits book. He chose to make this YouTube video: Learn How To Receive Social Security Disability Insurance SSDI The First Time You Apply.
3. That evening we rented the movie, The Dallas Buyers Club and the message in movie resonated the journey may choose you but it is how you handle the journey that defines you. As a side note, I am in awe by the acting performance of Matthew McConaughey.
4. David received a phone call from a good friend that has battled a chronic illness for years. The chronic illness has left his once strong body weak and tired. He is not able to work but he needs medical benefits and income. My husband’s friend is an intelligent, knowledgeable and a well-educated man but he was not aware of all his options.
David was able to tell his friend that he would receive Medicare Benefits 24 months after he receives Social Security Disability Insurance SSDI. A person that receives Social Security Disability Insurance is automatically enrolled for Medicare after 24 months.
Medicare enables the recipient to join their national healthcare and prescription program. David friend’s battle with a chronic illness and his frustration trying to navigate the Social Security Disability Insurance process left my husband with a heavy heart.
However, it became abundantly clear to my husband the need for a step by step guide to navigate Social Security Disability Insurance.
So, this may be his next endeavor. The universe seems to have promptly answered my question.
Thank you universe. You have been heard.
