What Hormones Are Released From The Thyroid Gland?
The thyroid makes three hormones that it secretes into the bloodstream.
Two of these hormones are called thyroxine (T4)and the third is called triiodothyronine (T3)

The thyroid gland’s function is to produce hormones which regulate the body’s metabolic rate as well as heart and digestive function, muscle control, brain development and bone maintenance.
What Is Hyperthyroid?
When the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone it is referred to as Hyperthyroidism
What Is Hypothyroid?
When the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone it is referred to as Hypothyroidism
